Reconfigurable OBP for regenerative transponder of the Heinrich-Hertz Mission
The presentation introduce the Heinrich-Hertz Mission and the Fraunhofer on-board processor (FOBP). The basic function, highlights and the key components of the FOBP will be presented. The rad-hard reconfigurable SRAM-based FPGAs as key components will be discussed. Especially challenges, reliability, a configuration concept and single event effects upset rates of these FPGAs will be in the focus of the presentation.
About Robért Glein:
Robért Glein received the engineer degree in 2007 and his M.Eng in 2009 from Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg. He currently works at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) on his PhD thesis and at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Erlangen, Germany. He has experience in the design and verification of rapid prototyping systems for digital signal processing and telecommunications. As system engineer of a reconfigurable on-board processor he is responsible for the firmware and hardware of a Multi-FPGA platform.
